Everyone has to have car insurance. This is an extension of that concept. Sick people cost us a lot of money because illness untreated tends to get worse. Sick people also spread disease. People without health insurance clog our emergency rooms for routine health needs, making it harder for real emergencies to get treated. So I guess you could say that a lack of universal health care is deadly, not just for those without insurance.

how will the health care affect the economy?

I think the bill is too big and complex to know yet.  If it could reduce health care costs it would do a lot to make American companies more competitive, I think.  But I'm not convinced that the bill (what I know of it) will be able to bring costs down.

I do not know if it is constitutional, but I think it is a good idea.  We force everyone to have auto insurance, why not health insurance/

If people do not have health insurance, they often end up costing us all money.  This is because they don't get treated for small things.  Instead, they wait until they are really sick and end up in emergency rooms.

I think that requiring everyone to have insurance will help everyone and so it is sensible to do it.

I think the health care bill should pass.I think for me it is not necessary to see it as forcing people to have health care but as a way to add the right to have health care. We have rights to freedom, life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. But how can we be happy if we are too poor to afford health care? Or we are part of those unlucky individuals who cannot qualify for health care because they have some preexisting condition. How can we work towards becoming healthy individuals if we do not have the primary care from physicians and dentists?

1) If you give everyone healthcare, our hospitals will be overloaded.

2) Insurance is a losing proposition for most people. Thats how insurance companies exist, they don't pay as much to the doctors as make from customers.

3) The quality of American health care will go down because the demand for doctors will go up, allowing for inexperienced people to get jobs

4)Why should the majority of Americans have to pay for the health care of the minority?

by the way I am fifteen so do not give anything me anything about being a rich priss who does not want to pay higher taxes
