Neolithic cultures formed the foundation for all cultures. Some of the greatest influences on China would be use of stone in buildings and daily life, the beginnings of need for agriculture, and a tribal structure. These continued to influence early China.

There are three examples of contributions that neolithic cultures had on the culture of China.

1) agriculture: the climate was condusive to farming millet - the major crop - which sets up the agricultural aspect of China's culture today.

2) Silk: as you know the Silk Route becomes a MAJOR globalization factor as early as 100 BCE (around) and this was developed more during the neolithic age

3) Pottery: China's popularity in ceramic art is well known - and pottery was present during neolithic age - the development of pottery during this time contributes to the art throughout Chinese culture.
