Given the length of this essay/speech, I can only give a very basic overview.

Wolf is, overall, saying that globalization has been a good thing for the world.  However, he says, it is threatened by various forces that might work to reverse it.  Therefore, he argues, there are certain things that must be done so that this positive thing will not "die."

He says globalization is likely to continue because of the ease of transportation and communication.  He says it has been good for most countries, but not always.  He says that, therefore, many countries will try to kill it. He argues that the US must show leadership and act in ways that promote globalization.
