In other words, write down words that reflect who their values, traditions, history/present, norms, and beliefs (both religious and philosophical). Don't stop there. That is simply a list to get you started.
The Native American people have a rich culture and beleif system that is still practiced today. They value the earth and see themselves as one with her. At a time when Americans are more focused thatn ever before on the environment, we have a lot to learn from the relationship the Native Americans had with the earth.
Native Americans suffered a great deal at the hand of European settlers; they were hunted, enslaved, and discriminated against. Just as the underlying current of racism and sexism still exists today, so to are Native Americans still discriminated against in certain areas and workplaces. Simply think of negative stereotypes you may have heard about Native Americans in your lifetime. Those tend to be a good measuring stick for the depth underlying discrimination.
