I need to know the best way to solve this problem and how to solve it.

Cout 1,2,3 etc. on your fingers starting with the thumb, only using one hand. Once you get to your pinky, go back to your thumb on the same hand. Count to 2000. Which finger will 2000 land on?

Divide the number by 5.

If the remainder is 0, i.e. the number is divisible by 5, then it lands on the Pinky.

Otherwise it will land on the finger in the position of the answer you get for the remainder. for e.g. 1 for Thumb, 2 Index Finger, 3 middle finger, 4 ring finger etc.

e.g. If you count to 2003

2003 / 5 = 400 Reminer 3, it will land the middle finger

2349 / 5 = 469 Remainder 4, it will land on the Ring finger etc.

If the number is divisible by five, it always stops at the pinky.

If the number is not divisible by five:

the last number divisible by five in the given number should be subtracted from the given number; the number gotten should be counted on your fingers; where it stops will be where the given number stops.

2000 is divisible by 5. Therefore, it will stop at your pinky.
