What are some strategies or ways to improve my assignment to write a letter from the perspective of one of Buck's owners in The Call of the Wild in which I am supposed to describe the team, my experience, condtions and my companion?

First, I highly recommmend reviewing the chapter summaries on eNotes to complement your reading of the novel. By scanning the chapter summaries, you can quickly identify which part of the text you want to focus on in your letter about being one of Buck's owners.
Your letter should be as specific as possible. Consult passages in the books to extract details that will make your letter even more accurate and interesting. For example if you choose to write your letter from the perspective of experienced traveler John Thornton, consult chapters five and six to get a clearer picture of how London describes Buck's saving Thornton from drowning or when he won the bet for him pulling the heavy sled.
