You want to get an overall of 85%. Your present marks are 90% and they have a weightage of 75%. The exam that you just wrote has a weightage of 25%. Let the marks you need to get in this for your overall to be 85% be M.

So we have M*0.25 + 90*0.75 = 85

=> M* 0.25 = 85 - 90*0.75

=> M = (85 - 90*.75)/0.25

=> M = 17.5 / 0.25

=> M = 70

You need to get a 70 out of 100 in this test to achieve an overall of 85%.
