Who were the morally ambiguous characters in the novel, "Kite Runner"?
(Ambiguous character meaning the characters whose behavior discourages readers from identifying them as purely evil or good.)
Unfortunately, the main character in this novel, Amir, is morally ambiguous; paradoxically, that is what makes this novel so good! Amir struggles with his dishonest, jealous, insecure nature as he spends a lifetime trying to atone for his treatment of his best friend, Hassan. His character is morally ambiguous even though the reader can identify with him, for most of us are not just simply good or evil. It is Amir's triumph over his darker nature when he pays the personal price for his sins that lead him to salvation.
