I need a question answered about Misfortune by Anton Chekhov. Has anyone read this short story, before I post a question on enotes. I feel that sometimes I waste a question beacuse no- one has read the story and therefore no one answers the question. Please help.

It is true that less popular titles don't attract answers because they haven't been widely read. Chekhov's "Misfortune" is more accessible than some other titles, however, so if you post your question, I'm certain I or one of our other Editors will be able to answer it for you. Just so you know, I always regret when I can't get my hands on a text and questions go unanswered, and I know many of us, if not all of us, feel the same regret.
