JournalismI'm a journalist in Tanzania and was wondering if somebody could give me an idea of a good televison documentary? I need something new that gives people enjoyment while watching it!

I have been following a documentary made on Queen Elizabeth II, called "Queen & Country."  It is a 3-part mini-series that covers the 60 years that have elapsed since she was crowned at the age of 25. It is a very enjoyable program, revealing much information about the queen and her life.  Did you know she is the 2nd longest reigning monarch in Britain's history (Queen Victoria was the 1st)?  That fact, and many other things, I didn't know about her so the show is fascinating to watch.  If you go to the PBS website, you can watch prior episodes or purchase a DVD with the complete series on it.

I recently watched an excellent documentary on the BBC about the riots of the summer of 2011. It essentially examined the lives of a few individuals involved in the riots and showed how their lives were affected by their participation (or, in a couple of cases, by the fact that they were caught in the middle of them.) It was very thought-provoking and provided a great deal of perspective, especially considering that it hasn't yet been a year since the riots broke out.

I'd be interested in watching a documentary on people who have successfully followed physical therapy programs to recovery from injurty. I know how difficult this can be, to put in work without a promise of a positive outcome especially when that work is extremely hard. Seeing this story could really be helpful for many people who are struggling to commit to a physical therapy regiment.

This sounds interesting, but could you please clarify your request?  Do you want a documentary to air on television, one that already aired on television, or a documentary about television?  What should the topic of the documentary be?  Are you looking for an American documentary?  I did find this list of feel-good documentaries.

Hulu has a lot of great documentaries. I think documentaries on gay rights are relavant to today's society. One documentary that stood out me was one allow gay students to attend catholic universities. I forgot the name, but it was interesting. There is another one called the "Aggressives" that documents the lives of lesbians who act masculine. Another is called "FagBug" which documents woman who drives around in a Volkswagon Beetle and brings awareness about gay rights.
