I need help with this worksheet:

Part I:

Write a message to persuade your boss to invest capital resources to develop the product or service for sale.

Include secondary research to support your argument and explain what you will do in case the selected product or service does not initially sell as much as expected.

Select the appropriate channel for delivering your message based on context, audience, and purpose.

Explain why you selected the channel.

Part II:

Write a sales pitch to sell the product/service to the end consumer. The sales pitch that you write could be part of a marketing campaign, which can be the verbiage for a commercial, a flyer, a message posted on social network, and so on. Make sure to identify the context, as per the examples, in which the sales pitch will take place.

Select the appropriate channel for delivering your message based on context, audience, and purpose.

Explain why you selected the channel.

Part I: Your first step is selecting an appropriate product or service. Ideally, you should choose one within your own area of expertise. For example, if you have had a part time retail job, and there is some product your store didn't stock but which multiple customers asked for, that would be a good choice. For example, imagine if you worked in a shoe store and customers kept asking for Brand XYZ sneakers. For the assignment, you would write a memo arguing that you need to stock Brand XYZ. Next, you should research the sales figures for XYZ and then create appropriate scenarios in case XYZ shoes fail to sell well. Next, you need to decide whether to approach your boss in person, by email, or by offering to do a presentation in a meeting, paying attention to the nature of your corporate culture.

Part II: Still using XYZ shoes as your example, think about what sort of marketing channel would be most effective. For example, if XYZ is a brand of basketball shoes, you might want a promotion at a basketball game, whereas if XYZ is orthopedic shoes for the elderly, print advertising in the AARP magazine might work better.
