It's market day in Dictionopilis, but the guard doesn't want to allow Milo and Tock to come inside. The guard asks them why they want to come to the city, and neither of them can think of a good reason. The guard is pretty sure he must have an old reason that they can use lying around and so he starts digging for an answer. He actually digs, in the ground. Here, he finds a reason for them to have arrived and presents it to Milo and Tock. It is the words "why not?" inscribed on a medallion. The guard tells them that, while it is overused, it's a good reason for just about anything and allows the two of them inside.
