In The Healers, Densu dresses as a servant for the white general named Glover. After Densu praises Glover and depreciates himself, he gains Glover’s esteem. Though Glover can’t pronounce Densu’s name correctly (he pronounces it “Den Too”), he nonetheless appoints Densu to the position of his servant. For his new job, Densu is given new clothes—presumably, clothes fit for a servant.
