Impressions of this book? Hi, I would just like to hear people's general impressions of this book and why they think that with examples and evidence. I would also like to know whether it gives insight into the Canadian experience.    Thanks,

My impression of the book in general was that it really describes the "fog of war" well.  The idea that a soldier returning home is never quite the same, since my father was a soldier long ago in Vietnam, but it stiff has an effect on him today.
