Im not happy with the quality of service I received at Canadian Tire. How can I write a business letter for that reason?

Be honest and specific. Tell them in your letter exactly what it was that displeased you. Also, tell them how this made you feel, if you felt they did not appreciate your business etc., or however it made you feel.

Tell them what your plans are in regards to returning to the store. Will you go back in the future or not. If not, why not ?

Address the letter to the manager, it would be best if you knew his/her name to put on the envelope. If you just put "manager",it may be discarded because they think it is junk mail.

Ask the manager to make it right. What do you want them to do? Tell them exactly what you think is fair and why.  Good Luck

I think that you need to do a few different things to write an effective letter in this situation.

First of all, you need to accurately describe what kind of bad service you received.  You need to tell them when you were there, who served you (if possible) and what they did that was unacceptable in your opinion.

Second, you need to tell them what it is that you expect them to do about it.  You need to tell them if you want some of your money back, for example.

Finally, be polite if this is the first letter you are sending them.  You are more likely to be successful if you are polite.
