Im going to write a term paper for my poetry class. I chose the poet Philip Freneau and want to analyze three of his poem and explore his use of the theme of nature and his religious views.
I need some extra sources and points to support my research, if you know any i would be really thankful to share them with me.
I have changed your topic to "Philip Freneau." If you click on that topic you will see that enotes provides a great deal of information on this American poet, along with some bibliographical references. You can also find more information on reference material by clicking on the PAL webset below which contains several good bibliographical references, some of them pretty recent. Such bibliographies generally contain more complete bibliographies in the backs of the books, including literary articles. Enotes has several complete articles on Freneau taken from various Salem Press references sets. They are:
- Masterpieces of American Literature
- Poets and Poetry in America
- Great Authors of World Literature, Critical Editio
Undoubtedly he was one of the most popular poets of his time and place and deserved his title, the “poet of the American Revolution.” -Masterpieces of American Literature
