The above post discussed World War II, your question asks about World War I. The first world war was the Great War, the War to End All Wars. We were naive, fighting for the safety and security of our allies in Europe. I would focus on those aspects. People did not know what they were getting into.

World War II had several concerns besides the Holocaust.   Germany had the drive to take over the countries around it as well as the spread into Africa and other countries.  In addition, the trading of goods was halted due to the destruction of ships.

If I were to develop a slogan for a picture I would probably have a picture of a German soldier stepping off of a ship onto a Canadian flag.  I would have a slogan that said something like "Stop their steps before they step onto our soil."

In the background you could have some sketches of people as they would look in the striped pajama type suits from the concentration camps.

Despite the Holocaust, America and its allies did not go to war with the direct intent to free the Jews.  It had to do with concerns about the spread of Fascism and the destruction to trade vessels.
