I'm doing a packet for "To Kill a Mockingbird" and I'm looking for a good summary of the book.

You are in luck, because enotes contains wonderful summaries of many books, including "To Kill a Mockingbird".  I have provided a link to a summary  of the book below.

To get you started however, the book is about a brother and sister, Jem and Scout, whose father, Atticus is a lawyer who defends a black man named Tom Robinson, who is accused of attacking a white girl.  It is set during the depression, and also includes as storyline of Boo Radley, a neighbor man who lives in his house and is never seen, who is rumored amongst the neighborhood children to be a phantom ghost who peeks in people's windows.  The entire book centers around those two main storylines, and they both merge at the end with surprising and inspiring results.

I hope that helps a bit, and make sure to check out the links-they're great.
