Please give a more specific description of your assignment. I often recommend my students begin their introduction to a literary analysis with a relevant quote from one of their texts. The quote should reflect the theme or main idea in the essay's thesis statement, and the connection between the quote and the thesis needs to be clearly explained. Without a more clear understanding of your assignment, however, I'm not sure if this kind of introduction is appropriate for your essay.
