An individual's identity is based on our culture and upbringing, including religion and ethnic background. As a person grows, hobbies and interests are added. People add to their identity as they go through life, adding educational pursuits and careers. How much of a person's identity is defined by each of these things depends on the person.

There are many things that make up an individuals identity. To begin with, it starts out with our upbringing, or how we are raised. Our parents teach us certain values, ethics, and morals. A lot of our identity also deals with our personal experiences.
