She injected her patients with a substance that gave them a heart attack. She was given life in prison without the possibility of parole plus twenty years. She was transferred to a prison in Texas and is currently serving her sentence at the Carswell Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas. There is a book written about her titled Perfect Poison.
