There are so many new technologies that can be applied to so many different settings in a workplace environment (depending on the workplace in question), that it is difficult to choose one. I would suggest a more generic technology such as emails, replacing all the hard or written (i.e. paper) communication.
Emails, as a form of communication, has been in use for quite some time now. It can be easily incorporated in any workplace environment, since most of the workplaces use computers and now people access internet over smartphones. The idea is to replace all the written official communication with emails. This will reduce the need of printers, save a lot of paper and filing requirements (since all the communication is saved over servers), would be much faster and can be accessed from anywhere. The downside is, people receive so many emails everyday (even at their workplace) that it is easy to forget to check one. In the age of emails and sms, it gives a more personal touch if written communication is used (think about how someone would feel on their last day of work, if they receive an e-card or hand-written card).
There are a number of other technologies, such as VoIP instead of fixed line phones or 3D printing or electric cars (esp. in a sales workplace) or segway (if the workplace is too big, like in production settings), that can be used as examples here.
