I’d like to know if there is a good book, website or group that could prove that the accusations against King George in the DoI were true.

I haven't had much luck in my quest for that information. Alot of soundbites but not much in the lines of facts and evidence.

Thanks.

The Declaration of Independence had three significent points to make in its argument. Jefferson's genius was in his ability to distinguish one from the other. Point #1 is a clear statement regarding a theory of government, point #3 is the proof that the new United States considered itself equal and just as a nation, however your question centers upon point #2, the list of complaints. Jefferson intended the complaints to read like a dirty laundry list because he understood the power of the written word and the impact his words were bound to have upon the world stage inspite of the king. What I suggest you do is read the sources of both sides, which I will tell you now have merit. It's not so much a question of did it happen...it's a question of perspective. I do not know that you can actually prove that the accusations that Jefferson made against King George can be proven true.  Many of them are spin -- they are meant to take the facts and use them to portray the King in the least favorable possible light.  This means that they are interpretations of facts and/or opinions.

That said, I have one website for you that will tell you what was behind each of the allegations.  At least on my computer right now, it has something wrong with it and has all kinds of weird formatting stuff, but the info is there.  After each entry there is a "next page" link to go on to the next allegation.

I hope this is what you were looking for...
