This is never explicitly answered in the book, but if she has two sons -- Jesse who is seventeen, and Miles who is a few years older, then she is probably at the very, very youngest in her late 30s, but I imagine her to be in her 40s. It depends on how young she was when she married Angus Tuck, which could have been in her teens since she would have married him in the early 1800s. Back then it wasn't uncommon for people to get married in their teens. But now she has a (perpetually) teenage son and one in his 20s, so she would physically be at least 17 or so years older than her oldest son.
