Auk XXI was actually fired off the pad just about three weeks after the terrible incident at the mine. It had a few engineering changes that the men at the mine shop had put in for him including countersinking the nozzle as well as using the seamless tubing that was lighter and stronger than previous versions.
The launch was great right from the start and according to their calculations, they cleared 4100 feet or so, which left them confident that their next launch would get them over a mile.
The new propellant they will be using is zinc dust and sulfur.
