How hard is it to go from playing recorder to playing the Flute? I have been playing recorder on and off for the past 5-6 years, I am now picking up the flute and I want to know if the transition is hard...

I guess the way I would answer this is to say that it will not be completely easy to go from recorder to flute, but that playing the recorder will help you some in making the transition.

The main way that playing recorder will help you is that the fingering for the two instruments is pretty similar.  So you should be able to learn how to finger the various notes more easily than someone who hasn't played the recorder.

The big difference, of course, is that you will need to learn to make the embouchure for playing flute.  Having played recorder will not help you in this aspect of playing flute.
