I guess the way I would answer this is to say that it will not be completely easy to go from recorder to flute, but that playing the recorder will help you some in making the transition.

The main way that playing recorder will help you is that the fingering for the two instruments is pretty similar.  So you should be able to learn how to finger the various notes more easily than someone who hasn't played the recorder.

The big difference, of course, is that you will need to learn to make the embouchure for playing flute.  Having played recorder will not help you in this aspect of playing flute.

I guess I would say it would be easy since the recorder and the flute would have like fingerings but it would be even easier going to a clarinet. I know in elementary we learned the recorder before we learned how to play an instrument and the transition for me was fairly easy and for most people, either way I would say learn the fingerings.
