I would say that Wilson's "world order" was a forerunner of political globalization, but not of economic globalization.
It is possible to argue that political globalization started with Wilson's push for the League of Nations. This helped to lead to the creation of the United Nations after WWII. The UN is the main entity that contributes to the creation of a globalized system of laws and global organizations that try to attack problems like poverty.
But Wilson's "world order" had little to do with economic globalization. That was caused much more by technology. The rise in things like containerized shipping and effective communications had much more to do with creating a globalized economy.
