How do I download movies onto my PSP?

Using your PSP for movies is not particularly difficult, but few people seem to know how to do it.  The first requirment is for free memory: if you want to have movies on your PSP you are going to need a  big ol' memory least 512, but preferably bigger.  You also need to have a computer and the little PSP Usb data cable.

Here are the steps:

  1. Connect the computer and PSP together, making sure that the PSP is switched off to begin with, and switch the PSP on once the connection is made.
  2. Go into the "settings" menu on the PSP and press X, which should link the PSP to the computer. If you then go into "my computer" on the computer you should see the PSP there as an extra volume.
  3. Click on the icon for your PSP and then the memory card. Open the folder called PSP. With this open you need to create another folder inside that one, this one called “MP_ROOT” and then another one called "100mnv01"  (no quotes, of course.)
  4. Save the movies you want to watch into the folder named “100mnv01” and you are ready to go! The movies can be started by clicking on the saved image inside the memory card. One thing to note, though, is that the movies need to be in MP4 format.  How to do that, though, is another question altogether.

Good luck!
