How does Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet as it was written compare with Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 film version?

Romeo and Juliet as it was written differs from the 1968 Zeffirelli film because the film emphasizes the sexual love the two share, including a nude love scene, which the play could not do. The camera emphasizes the brutality of the deaths of Mercutio and others in a way that the play could not and the music is a modern-day enhancement that adds to the tragic effect.
