Napoleon stays in charge of Animal Farm through violence, intimidation, terror, and lies. A deeply paranoid pig, insecure in his position, Napoleon sees traitors everywhere. Having achieved absolute power by driving his greatest rival Snowball from the farm, he's determined to hang onto it for as long as possible. As the other animals soon learn to their cost, Napoleon is prepared to do whatever it takes to maintain his iron grip on power.
