Hello!

"One fifth" of something is the same as 1/5 of those "something".

3/5, or three fifths of the same quantity, is three times more than 1/5:

3/5 = 3*(1/5).

So if we know 1/5 of some quantity, we may find 3/5 of the same quantity by multiplying the known number by 3.

In our example, if we know that 1/5 of 10 is 2, then 3/5 of 10 is 3*2=6. And no fractions needed.

Of course this may be computed directly also (and the result will be the same :) ).
