How does Hester represent redemption?

Hester learns that you can find redemption in making the best of a bad situation. Hester does have a baby, but she raises the baby and she actually makes her life better after all that she goes through. She becomes a better person.

If we are talking about The Scarlet Letter and Hester Prynne...we can say that the changes Hester undergoes in the novel bring her into a new state of humility and purity from where she begins. Hester learns to accept her status and becomes empowered by this acceptance. Where at first she is one of "the fallen", she is in the end a person who helps others.
