How does Cathhy's dream about heaven and earth resembles her psyche?

lara-2009 | Student

Cathy's dream about the heaven resembles Edgar, as he is the heaven in all meanings, he is the angel protecting that paradise with all its might, fame, beauty, wealth and class, whereas the earth resembles Heathcliff, though it loses the comparison, still it is wanted by Cathy who is lost in between. Cathy is in the twilight one, that's why she can't decide what to choose. Her seeking the earth (Heathcliff) brings her agony and despair, she can't find him, and therefore, she'll be roaming the Heights for peace, which can't be found in her heaven.
