To solve for r, we need to get anything that doesn't look like r to the other side.

`A=pi r^2`    divide both sides by `pi` (spelled pi)

`A/pi=r^2`    take square roots of both sides

`sqrt{A/pi}=r`   we've solve for r!

The solution is `r=sqrt{A/pi}` .
