Solve `2x-10=16`

First, add 10 to each side.

`2x-10+10=16+10`

`2x=26`

Divide both sides by 2.

`"2x"/2=26/2`

`x=13`

``Therefore, the solution is x = 13.

The equation 2x-10=16 has to be solved for x.

2x-10=16

Add 10 to both the sides

2x - 10 + 10 = 16 + 10

=> 2x = 26

Divide both the sides by 2

=> `(2x)/2 = 26/2`

=> x = 13

The solution of the equation 2x-10=16 is x = 13

To solve for x,

2x - 10 = 16

2x = 16 + 10

2x = 26

x = 26/2

x = 13

Hence solvesolved....

The above equation can be easily solved in the following way:

2x-10=16

2x=16+10

2x=26

x=26/2

x=13

how do you solve 2x-10=16

To solve this question you'll need to do the opposite for the 10. Since it's negative ten you would need to neutralize it by adding ten. -10 + 10 would be 0.

2x-10=16

+10

2x = 16 Remember if you do something on one side you'll have to do it on the other! It's a rule, that follows any equation that involves Variable equals.

Meaning we would need to add 10 to the other side since 16 + 10 = 26 it would be:

2x = 26

Now since the two and the variable is together we would need to separate it. Since it's 2x means 2 times X you'll need to do the opposite. If it's 2/x you'll need to do x/2 if it's x-2 you'll do x+2, and lastly if it's x+2 you'll do x-2. It's basically the opposite of what is connected to x. So in this case 2x means we would need to do 2x/2 to leaved the variable by itself.

2x/2 = 26

x = 26 Remember to do the dividing on the other side!

x= 26/2    26 divided  by 2 would be 13.

x = 13 is your final answer :D

All my steps:

2x-10=16

+10 +10

2x=26

2x/2 = 26/2

x = 13

2x-10=16

the first step of solving this problem is by moving like terms to the same side

so you add 10 to both sides to cancel out the 10 on the other side.

2x - 10 + 10 = 16 + 10

simplify:

2x = 26

now you are trying to solve for x meaning you want to get x alone, so you divide by 2:

2x/2 = 26/2

x = 13 is the answer.

2x - 10 = 16

To solve these equations , you should always remember that you have to try to get the variable which is " x " all by itself . In order to that , we should first add 10 on both sides .

By adding 10 on both sides , you should get

2x =26 Now to get " x " by itself , we have to divide by 2 on both sides .

By dividing by 2 on both sides , you should get  .

x = 13 which is your answer . As you can see we were able to get " x " all by itself on the left side .

In order to solve for x, you have to get x by itself.

2x-10=16

Start off by adding 10 to both sides. This will cancel the tens on the left and you end up with

2x=26

Now to undo the multiplication of 2 and x, you have to divide both sides by 2. The twos on the left cancel. This leaves you with

x=13
