How do I write a human interest story on Romeo and Juliet?
I have read the play. My teacher is having us do a newspaper and we have to write a human interest story. I am not in school; my mom took me out so I have to do this myself instead of in a group. So please help me.

To write a human interest story means you are to write an article for the newspaper about some part of the story, in this case Romeo and Juliet, that people will find interesting. The article is not a retelling of the main story; it highlights one aspect of it. Another name for this type of story would be to call it a feature story.
You could choose to write an article giving the background history of one of the families or one of the characters featured in the play. You could write a description of the ball, explaining the costumes and telling about the dances, the music, the food, and other features of the party. You could give a history of the family feud between the Montagues and the Capulets.
The goal of your article would be to give your readers more information that will help them to more fully appreciate and enjoy the main story. Remember to include the important information (who, what, where, when, why, how) and be descriptive in painting word-pictures of your subject. This is not an essay - you don't have to limit yourself to facts and only what is presented in the play. Use your imagination to add supporting details to make your article interesting and fun to read!
