The main problem with trying to write about such a general topic is that you need to find some single aspect or thesis to discuss. There's nothing really distinctive about the notion of being human -- every one we read or write is a human being -- unless it is written in terms of , for example, contrasting humanity with something else. So, for example, you could speculate about how computer technology changes the ways in which we think about being human in terms of how activities previously thought exclusively human such as computing (the term computer originally meant human beings who solved math parts of math problems) are now done by machines. Another possibility would be to look at how research into animal intelligence is changing the way we think about what is or is not uniquely human.
