This is a very important topic. Moreover, it is a hot topic today. Here are some point that you need to bear in mind in this discussion. 

First, many people are fighting the notion of racial profiling. Racial profiling is wrong, because a person is making judgments about others based on their race. This puts people (usually of color) in a disadvantage. This is an example of discrimination. 

Second, in light of this point, it is best to have diversity among the police force, so that no one race is dominant. In this way there will be more diversity of opinions and worldviews. 

Finally, there is not great solution as of now, because the world in complex.
