How can I write a comparison of the heroes in Joyce's "Dubliners" and the heroes in Conrad's "Heart of Darkness"?

Check out the eNotes article "How to Write a Compare and Contrast Essay" at the link below. It gives step-by-step instructions on what to look for and how to write a comparison. Also, keep in mind that the "hero" in a text is the protagonist, or main character, not necessarily the most heroic person in the story. That shouldn't be too difficult with "Heart of Darkness," but "Dubliners" is a series of short stories, each one of which will have its own protagonist.

You might also find it helpful to read the eNotes study guides on each work. Visit the links below for more information.

That is a very good question for comparing.  But it's really easy.  If you know anything about them.  It's even easier I think.  All you do is write about what they have in common.  Like for example: comparing a dog and a cat.  One way you can compare them is they are both animals, they have fur and so one.  They are both different because one's a cat, and one's a dog.
