Teachers can use objectives to assist students because the objectives make it easier for the student to understand what the teacher is looking for in the assignment. Students often end up feeling like they do not know why a particular assignment is given or what is expected of them on that assignment. When the teacher explicitly lays out the objectives for the assignment, the students do not have this problem. The students then know exactly what they are supposed to be able to know or do after a given assignment has been completed. This makes it easier for them and may make them more motivated.
