Thinking you can is more than half the battle.  If a task is before you and you don't believe you can accomplish it, you probably can't.  Self-efficacy is the belief that you can do what is humanly and physically possible for you to do; without it, simple stumbling blocks become insurmountable walls.  That's a characteristic which allows you to accomplish great things.
