Please provide information relating to formulas, graphs and examples for the basic elementary functions.

Give formulas, graphs and examples for these functions:

1.y=ax+b    2. y=a/x     3.y=ax^2+bx+c    4.y=x^``    5. y=a^x   6.  y=e^x    7.y=log a^x   8.y=sinx    9. y=cosx     10.y=tgx   11.y=cotgx    12.y=rootx       13.y=ax+b/cx+d

Sorry if anything isn't written correctly. I would like to know how to write functions on a computer.

Please help as soon as possible. The project is due tomorrow.

Thanks in advance! xx

The simplest way would to be use a spreadsheet program like Microsoft excel for the mathematical features.

I would suggest using excel and using the "functions" feature in it. You can use arbitrary values of the constants and x and obtain values of y and then display it.

Many of the functions you have mentioned here are standard functions or line equations, e.g., 1. y =mx+b is an equation of line in slope-intercept format.

for this case, if m=0, you will get y = b, which would be a straight line parallel to x-axis..

other cases can be solved similarly. You can use the graph functionality to obtain really nice and presentable graphs of different types in MS- excel.

Hope this helps. good luck with the project.

Although, excel is pretty extensive for this sort of work, you can also try the online tools like (http://rechneronline.de/function-graphs/). Just remember that all graph functionalities, whether in excel or online will need some example values of all the constants.

good luck.
