Since `3x` contains the variable to solve for, move it to the left-hand side of the equation by subtracting `3x` from both sides.

`7x+6-3x=-2`

Since `7x` and `-3x` are like terms, add `-3x` to `7x` to get `4x` .

`4x+6=-2 `

Since `6` does not contain the variable to solve for, move it to the right-hand side of the equation by subtracting `6` from both sides.

`4x=-6-2 `

Subtract `2` from `-6` to get `-8` .

`4x=-8 `

Divide each term in the equation by `4` .

`(4x)/4 = -8/4`

Simplify the left-hand side of the equation by canceling the common factors.

`x=-8/4`

Simplify the equation.

`x=-2`

Solve `7x + 6 = 3x - 2`

First move all "x's" to one side by subtracting 3x from each side.

`7x + 6 -3x = 3x-3x-2` `<br>`

`4x+6 = -2`

Now move 6 to the right side by subtracting 6 from each side.

`4x+6-6 = -2-6`

`4x=-8`

Divide both sides by 4 to get "x" alone.

`(4x)/4 = (-8)/4`

` ``x = -2`

The solution is x = -2.

QUESTION:-

Help me solve please 7x+6=3x-2

SOLUTION:-

7x+6=3x-2

Transfer the values containing 'x' to LHS (Left Hand Side) and the rest values on the RHS (Right Hand Side), therefore;

7x-3x = -2-6

4x = -8

For further simplification, we will either divide both the sides by 4 or directly transfer 4 from LHS to the RHS where instead of multiplying it will be divided according to rules;

4x/4 = -8/4

x = -2

Hence Solved!

7x + 6 = 3x - 2

In order to find the value of the variable x, we need to isolate it.

7x + 6 = 3x - 2

7x + 6 - 6 = 3x - 2 - 6        Subtract 6 from both sides

7x = 3x - 8

7x - 3x = 3x - 8 - 3x          Subtract 3x from both sides

4x = -8

4x/4 = -8/4                       Divide both sides by 4

x = -2 Answer.

 7x+6=3x-2

With this equation you need to move all the variables on one side

7x-3x=-2-6

Therefore, 4x = -8

Divide by 4 to isolate the variable

x=-2

7x + 6 = 3x - 2

First subtract 6 on both sides

By subtracting your equation should look like

7x = 3x - 8 now subtract 3x on both sides

By subtracting, your equation should look like

4x = -8  divide 4 on both sides

By dividing, your equation should look like

x = -8/4 simplify

x = -2  which is your answer

7x+6=3x-2

we want to have the X's all on one side so its easier to solve

so subtract 3x

7X-3x +6= -2

then simplify and move over the 6 to the left by subtracting it so we have

4x=-6-2

4X= -8

divide by 4

X= -2

7x+6=3x-2    subtract 6 on both side

7x+6-6=3x-2-6

7x=3x-8    subtract 3x on both side

7x-3x=3x-8-3x

4x=-8    divide both side by 4

4x/4=-8/4

x=-2

`7x+6=3x-2`

You need to combine like terms

  7x+6=3x-2

-3x     -3x

  4x+6=-2

      -6  -6

  4x=-8 to solve for x divide by 4 on both sides

`(4x)/2 = -8/4 `   `x=-2`
