Hello! Can anyone help me with Algebra 2?

**First Problem:** *Determine whether each data set could represent a linear function.*

*I have attached the data table 1 and 2. If you know what this question is asking, can you please show or explain it to me step by step? I want to know how to do it, I just don't want only the answer. I will be tested on this so I want to understand it.

**Second Problem:** *Determine whether each line is vertical or horizontal.*

***I have attached another file that goes from #1-4. I want to know if what I'm supposed to do is plot the two x's on the x-axis and the two y's on the y-axis. But with that, I don't know how to determine whether they are horizontal or not. Any help? Yet again, please explain it too because there will be questions like these on my test.

**Third Problem: ***A line that has a slope of -2 and passes through (1,4).*

I solved it with the method of the point-slope and my answer was: **y=2x+6**

My question is; how will I graph this? (y=2x+6)

**Fourth Problem: ***Graph each inequality.*

*I have attached the third file that is listed from A-C. I have already graphed A and B, but C is bit tricky. I am stuck on C. Is it easier than it seems? Omce again, I want to know how to solve/understand it.

- signs of *less than/greater than/less than or equal to/greater than or equal to ; *I want to know if I did letters **A and B** correct. These signs are what we should use to color in the other half of the graph. For letter A, I colored the top half, and for B, I also colored the top half. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense but I am trying my best to explain it.

Sorry for all the question problems. I really do not understand them and I hope to find at least some help on them, if not all. I need to understand how to solve it because it's really hard for me to understand them, even though they may seem easy for some others. Thanks!

Determine if the data could represent a linear function:

(a) (9,2),(7,5),(5,10),(3,15) If these were points on the same line then the slope between any pair of points would be the same.

Between (9,2) and (7,5) the slope is `m=-3/2` while the slope between (7,5) and (5,10) is `m=-5/2` so this cannot be a line.

(b) (.5,9),(1,6),(1.5,3),(2,0) These points all lie on a line since the slope between any pair is `m=-1/6`

Second problem -- any line of the form x=c is vertical, y=c is horizontal.
