I need to write an employment interview speech for the following scenario and would like tips on what might be good to include. The scenario is:
I have passed a screening test for the post of principal, and next month there will be interview for the post. They often ask the interviewees to deliver a small speech on school matters. I want to write an impressive speech on school discipline.
As for the interview, think about what you believe is important in a school to be well run and be successful with student learning. The hints I would give you would be to think about what makes a leader successful, how discipline fits within the boundaries of a well-run school, how to motivate the employees to encourage the success of the students in their learning, and finally, what are the specific qualities YOU bring to a school which will make you and the school both successful. Think about your strengths and weaknesses and how you will compensate for any weakness you have. Then think about HOW you will communicate your ideas because often the how is as important as the ideas themselves. People must be able to see your vision. Think about more than discipline because if you get the position, you will be a leader who will have a great impact on how successful your students and school will be.
