Ginkgo biloba is also known as the maidenhair tree. It is the oldest plant specie on earth today and has been around since the dinosaur age.

The Chinese have used ginkgo leaves to treat disorders associated with aging for thousands of years. Today, it is being used to treat sexual dysfunction and increase libido functions in both men and women. For women, ginkgo helps relax blood vessels in the vagina and improves blood flow in the lower area. This enables the nerve functions in the female organ allowing the woman to feel real sensations during sexual intercourse.

Ginkgo is available as ginkgo leaf, ginkgo leaf extract, and ginkgo seed. It is also widely available in teas, and ginkgo-fortified foods.

Ginko biloba is a chinese medicinal plant. Ginkgos are very large trees, normally reaching a height of 20–35 m (66–115 feet), with some specimens in China being over 50 m (164 feet). The tree has an angular crown and long, somewhat erratic branches, and is usually deep rooted and resistant to wind and snow damage.

Extracts of Ginkgo leaves contain flavonoid glycosides and terpenoids (ginkgolides, bilobalides) and have been used pharmaceutically. Ginkgo supplements are usually taken in the range of 40–200 mg per day. Recently, careful clinical trials have shown Ginkgo to be ineffective in treating dementia or preventing the onset of Alzheimer's Disease in normal people.

Pagodas Tree (Ginkgo biloba) is a specie that grows spontaneously in China. It is also grown in other countries both for its ornamental appearance and therapeutic purposes. Trees have a height of up to 30 m, with rich crown. Trees are dioecious with male or female flowers, so the trees are either male or female. The leaves are ribbed, with two lobes, with a dichotomous rib. Autumn leaves yellow and fall (leaves obsolete). Their color is yellow with shades extremely attractive.  The tree is grown in parks where the leaves are used for ornamental purposes, scattered among the floral decorations. The extract actions on blood circulation, disorders from the brain and extremities, thereby improving the energetic metabolism at the brain level, by increasing glucose uptake and oxygen  at molecular level.Visual acuity in the eye increases. It inhibits the platelet activation factor, which reduces the tendency of blood clotting.
