Have computers made our lives easier or more complicated?Have computers made our lives easier or more complicated?
In my opinion, computers have made our lives easier. They have made it easier for us to communicate and easier for us to do many of the everyday things that we must do to keep our lives in order.
For example, computers have made it so much easier to pay bills than it used to be. You can set it up so that your bank automatically pays your mortgage every month. That way, you never have to worry about forgetting to pay. On the other side of the ledger, you can arrange to have your paychecks from your work deposited directly to your account. Finally, you can use computer software to file your taxes. The software asks you questions and you answer and it fills in the forms for you. This is much simpler than trying to work your way through the instructions on the tax forms.
In these and many other ways, computers make our lives easier.
I think computers have made our lives both easier in many regards but still complicated because of the many issues that arise with computers. Granted, many things from planning a vacation to paying bills are much more convenient and quicker now, but computers are far from perfect and do present many issues when we depend on them too much.
Some companies and school systems have no back-up plans when the computer system fails. Also, a local school system here continues to implement grading systems with tons of bugs in them which causes a lot of frustration and inconsistencies for parents and teachers. Some times I am all for doing things the old-fashioned way or at least having a reliable back up.
Computers have both complicated our lives and made them easier. I can do almost anything with a computer, but once something goes wrong beyond the basics I am stumped. A working computer is a fabulous tool, but one that does not work is an expensive paperweight.
Computers made our lives more easy since we can basically get anything off the internet, but it made our lives worst since people are very addicted to it.
I think computers have made our lives easier because if we need to look up something we can just go up on our computers and find the information that we need. you can talk to friends and family around the world online and it doesn't cost a thing.
I believe Computers have made our lives more easier. For example you could talk to your friends or family face to from the computer and it doesn't even cost and its free. It helps us connect with our old friends. It also helps us to send mail to others more faster.
Personal Computers have become a large part of our lives and have proven to make society a better place to live. But have they really helped us in every way? Have they brought up new problems that never existed? Do they really benefit us or are they really harming our society and our children? I plan to explore these issues and hope to prove that PC’s are very valuable in almost every way if used and monitored properly.
I believe computers (and technology in general .... mobile devices and global communication especially) have made our lives MUCH more complicated. When computers and automation first arrived in the industrialized world, we were promised 4 hour workdays, and 4 day work weeks. Computers were going to make our jobs so much easier by doing things usually done manually so much quicker and more accurate. However, that promise was a turned out to be naught. What it actually did was allow one person to do the same amount of work that 2 or 3 people would normally do. So business took advantage of that by laying of the first two people and giving the third their work. These days, we are constantly being bombarded with electronic distractions. TV, moves, MP3s, email, instant messaging, text messaging, Facebook, Twitter. People are linked to the world 24/7 and it's all we can do to keep up. Why do you think people are so busy all the time. They are trying to keep pace in a world so large that if they aren't doing everything they see their peers doing, they feel they are missing out. Gone are the simple days of the past. Now get off my lawn you lousy kids or I'll have to get out my rocking chair and send my hound dogs after ya
