The function h(x) = [2-x] is the nearest integer function.

For values of x lying in the closed set [-2,2], the maximum value of h(x) = 2 - (-2) = 2 + 2 = 4. The minimum value of x is 2 - 2 = 0

The extrema of the given function are 0 and 4.
