You can not find 5 solutions for a linear function.

The only solution is as follows:

y= 5x-6 = 0

==> 5x = 6

==> x= 6/5

Then the only solution is x= 6/5

However, you can find five points on the graph of y= 5x-6

To do so, we will choose any value of x and substitute into the equation.

For example:

If x= 1 ==> y= 5(1)-6 = 5-6 = -1 ==> Then we have the point (1, -1) is on the graph of y.

Let x= 0 ==> y= 5*0 - 6 = -6

==> Then we have the point (0, -6) is on the graph of y.

Also, x=-1 ==> y= 5*-1 - 6= -5-6 = -11==> (-1, -11)

==> x= 2 ==> y= 5*2-6= 10-6= 4 ==> (2, 4)

==> x= 3 ==> y= 5*3-6 = 15-6 = 9 ==> (3, 9)

Then the 5 points on the graph are:

(0, -6) , (1, -1) , (-1, -11) , (2, 4) , and (3, 9)
