The distance between two poits formula is as follows:

`D= sqrt((x1-x2)^2 + (y1-y2)^2)`

`` The mid points M is given by :

`M_x = (x1+x2)/2 `

`M_y = (y1+y2)/2`

`` Example:

Let the points be : ( 2,5) (5,9)

We need to find the distcane:

`D = sqrt((2-5)^2 + (5-9)^2) = sqrt(9+16)= sqrt25 = 5`

`` Now we will find midpoint:

`M_x = (2+5)/2 = 7/2 = 3.5 `

`M_y= (9+5)/2 = 14/2 = 7`

==> Then the midpoint is (3.5, 7)
